About This Facility

MLCC is one of the most advanced oncology centers in Nigeria and one of the best-equipped in West Africa, with state-of-the-art linear accelerators and the country’s only three-dimensional high dose rate (3D-HDR) brachytherapy facility. The center is staffed by ten clinical and radiation oncologists – more than any other center in the subregion; supported by a robust team of oncology nurses, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapy technicians, the highest concentration of such oncology experience and expertise in a single site in West Africa. The center delivers modern cancer treatments ranging from radiotherapy and chemotherapy to specialized supportive care services critical to holistic cancer care. Since opening its doors in May 2019, MLCC has served over 13,000 unique cancer patients, managing an annual influx of approximately 2,500 new cases.
